Long is a U.S. trained and licensed (California and Illinois) international lawyer with almost 20 years experiences in transactional works in Asia and Vietnam. He received his Juris Doctor degree with Honors from Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago-Kent College of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University Long Beach.
He was formerly associated with the international law firm Graham & James and had represented AT&T, Comsat, Trinity Marine, Sinopac Bank and Formosa Plastics in Vietnam. He was the Chief Legal Counsel for U- Land Airlines, a Taiwan-based regional airline and was fundamental in wet- leasing aircraft to Pacific Airlines (the second airline in Vietnam) and Air Philippines.
Recently, he has just successfully assisted (both as its legal advisor and business consultant) a China-Japan (DEC-Marubeni) consortium in the successful bid of a major thermal power plant in Vietnam. He is now the Senior International Legal Consultant for SIRED, a Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA)’s components, attached to the Ministry of Fisheries of Vietnam for the restructuring and equitization of its state-owned enterprises. He is fluent in English, French and Vietnamese (native tongue) and is well verse in all aspects of Vietnamese laws.
Long is currently actively involving in public relations works for the Firm and looking after all legal advisory services.
